This is such a great message, however not always easy to experience!
Many of us are well practiced in the art of worrying, which is simply engaging in and believing thoughts/images about the future that we DON’T want to happen!
So, when you notice that you’re worrying about something, perhaps try the following:
- Notice the thoughts and label them – “ahh having a worrying thought”
- With intention, gently move your awareness to the body and notice areas of tension, that you can now choose to soften, such as the face, jaw, shoulders etc
- Finally settle your awareness on the breath, breathing deeply and slowly for a few breaths and then allowing the body to breathe naturally – maybe raise a subtle smile.
