Practising spending more time aware of your present moment reduces the time spent obsessing about the future which creates anxiety.
It also reduces time spent replaying broken scenarios from the past which causes anger or sadness.
See if you can create a habit of simply pausing for a few moments, several times each day.
Perhaps stop what you’re doing if possible, get up and go outside – feel the breeze on your skin, the warmth of the sun, listen to sounds around you and breathe.
Or, if you can’t go outside, simply pause and come out of your head and wake up to your senses.
