Our Mindfulness courses are based on one of the most recognised and scientifically researched secular courses in the UK and the USA called the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course. They are recognised by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).

What can Mindfulness help with?
- Mindfulness can improve well-being by helping you to:
- Focus on the here and now. Many participants report that they learn to worry less about the future or to ruminate less about the past.
- Manage and reduce feelings of stress, anxiety and low mood.
- Calm the ‘chattering mind’.
- See situations more clearly and make decision-making more straight-forward.
- Improve sleep.
- Be less swept up in the ‘drama of life’ and become more emotionally resilient.
- Feel more able to savour the simple pleasures in life.
- Manage relationships more effectively.
- Manage physical symptoms, such as pain, aching, headaches etc, often noticing that they reduce significantly.
Overall, practising Mindfulness has been shown to help people to feel generally more content in life and to develop a kinder and more caring attitude towards others and towards themselves.
No prior experience or knowledge of Mindfulness is needed – our courses are open to anyone aged 18 or over.
A Typical Session
The courses are taught in an informal setting where people sit on chairs and there is no pressure or expectation on you to talk in the group unless you feel comfortable to do so.
A new theme is introduced each week and participants are guided through new techniques, enabling you to come away at the end of the course with a ‘tool kit’ of techniques which will help you to feel more in control and calmer in your daily life.
Home practice is a part of the course (we ask you to do about 10 minutes a day) and you will have access to our free App to support you with this. The App complements the course, as many people struggle to learn Mindfulness techniques purely from an App.

“Lovely and insightful. Made me realise that being in the present moment allows me to discover the happiness I’ve always aimed for. We can be our own worst enemies so be kind to ourselves and others. Really enjoyed the course and everything it has offered. Thank you.”
